I don't know the airplane, but that looks like Jim Maloney (at the nose) and probably Steve Hinton with his back to the camera. By the haircuts, probably mid '70s. Maybe that will jog someone's memory.

Is this the Randy Be'loff that I knew from Flabob airport and March AFB in the early 1970's, who used to own a nice Luscombe. Contact me when you get a chance.nCraig O'Mara

Based on the comments by Marley F. Green, I believe this aircraft to be N4143A, 44-74445, when owned by Mr. Miley in Roy, UT. Aircraft later to N4132A. Sure would like to see the other photo that Mr. Green talks about.

This picture is the CAF Gunfighter. Restoration after crash in the late 70s. I would need to check the logs and some of the workers of the time. They are in a hangar at Offutt AFB Omaha. Reg Urschler was Wing Commander. Note the CAF hat worn by one of the guys. Jay Johnson is at the prop. It was his engine. We still use to tow bar in the forground.

It is the P-51 Gunfighter of the CAF. I was notified about this image thanks to Jerry Mason and I can recognize my grandfather in the background wearing the hat. He was actually the Wing Commander at Offutt at the time of the accident and assisted in providing a hangar to restore the Mustang. Great accomplishment for everyone involved at the time.
