Surely you remember the days when Bruce and Jeff would rent a Cessna full of gas so to land on the top of Santa Catalina to pay tie-down fees. We then walked over to eat a Hamburger, Fries and a Coke only so to get back in the plane in just enough time to make it back with-in three hours engine running time for around $55. So how are the so called Golden Years doing you? I work for a Home Remodeling company since 2010 and I am married to Cyndi Blackman since 1989. Are your two sisters still living? Love to hear from you. Drop a line or two to your long time friend, Jeff. I'd like to hear from you.

Hints: P-51 crashed in late 70's to be rebuilt as highly modified racer.
P-51 is flying today, but as a TF-51 conversion.

I thank this Mustang is the Maytag Mustang N332 (5481V) destroyed on 8/21/79 near Borreago Springs, Calif.
Alan Preston purchased the paperwork in 1983 and built Racer #84 Stilletto.
Sold to David Price 1989 to 1993.
Sold to Pete Regina 1993 he rebuild this mustang to a TF conversion.
Sold to David Jeansonne 1997
1998 Bob Jepson bought the mustang and finish restoration.
Mark Peterson now owns this mustang and it's flown as Diamondback - N51ZM
My father Sam Mallen owned this Mustang 5481V from Dec.1958 to Aug. 1961.
He keep it at Santa Monica for a short while and moved to Oxnard since we lived
in Malibu at the time.
I have been looking at this photo for along time thanking it was my father's mustang
since his was painted yellow and in the same time period at Santa Monica.
My father sold airplane to David Maytag.
