Case #66 shows s/n 44-74950 when it was owned by Selby Burch, of Florida. It was registered at that time as N7496W. Before this it was N20JS, with John Silberman, also of Florida, during who's ownership it wore a sort-of 52nd FG, 15th Air Force paint scheme. It was later rebuilt by the Lauderback Brothers for Dick Thurman as the 352nd FG, 8th Air Force beauty, 'Slender Tender and Tall,' of William Halton. It has since been sold to Thomas Blair.

In 1963/64 44-74950 was registered as N511D. I changed the engine and performed the annual during this period. It changed owners and in 1971 it crashed after a wing separation during Acrobatics on the high desert out of Palmdale, Ca. I believe this was the original N number when it was first licensed.
